Many Interesting Guest Stars

Ronnie Moore is Walt Whitman star football player and is being recruited by a college.

A pretty good episode. A former All American named Jim Williams is looking to get Ronnie in his school. Pete finds out that Williams is being paid to recruit high school athletes and the college is low on academics. Paul Winfield plays Williams and 3 years later would be Oscar nominated for "Sounder". Beah Richards plays Ronnie's mother, she also had an Oscar nomination in 1967 for "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner". And Larry Linville (later Frank Burns on the TV version of "MASH") has a small role as a counselor.

The football stadium depicted as the playing field of "Atlantic State" - supposedly on the East Coast - is actually the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, familiar from its many televised sporting events and appearances in motion pictures.
