    Nice film with good actors

A nice little film done in the style of the times. Filmed in Marin county for the most part. A good chance to see downtown Sausalito, Larkspur and its fire department before the town grew up. Plot is predictable, some very solid performances. A husband is set up by his wife to be killed by her lover. The husband survives and hides out in a small town as a mechanic. Love blooms between the mechanic and his widowed boss. Upon retuning to his home to clear his name, he is jailed for the death of the lover. The web is untangled in San Francisco with the help of a smart police detective, a maid, and the widowed boss. Yes, there is a happy ending as with almost all films of the time.
