Their Season 2 Love Lives are Boring Me to Tears

Maggie strikes up a romance with the director of Dot's theatre group. When he moves too fast for her, Maggie decides to break it off. The B-story has an undercover cop posing as a busboy because of a rash of local restaurant robberies.

This is another of the romantic episodes of Season 2 and none of them are very entertaining. Season 1 did romance way better. Episodes like "Cassie's Punctured Romance" and "The Lois Affair" are among the best of the series.

Maggie makes another funny entrance walking oddly for the second episode in a row. The previous week it was because of new shoes, this time it's because she was jogging.

There is a running gag about the cop (played by the actor who was Charlene's overweight beau Mason on DESIGNING WOMEN) wanting to be a maitre'd instead of a busboy, but it's lame and not funny.

SONGS: Sonny sings "Happy Trails to You". The original airing had Sonny playing the DRAGNET theme but this is missing from the current version.
