There's something rather magical about this one. This is one of the first times Duncan's longevity truly comes into play for those around him, as he encounters someone he knew as a child who's now an old man. The scene where he reveals his secret to Georges is similarly full of intensity.
And it makes perfect sense that someone like Daimler, who was at his height during Nazi Germany, is now leading a group of racist street thugs and trying desperately to radicalise enough people to still be relevant. It's unfortunate that Duncan has to be painfully naive to stop the episode ending early, expecting someone like Daimler to just forgive and forget.
The other plotline of the episode sees Anne trying to fit in to Duncan's lifestyle. She understands on an intellectual level what he is, but Daimler's presence brings it close to home, and a reveal about her adds to it and to how alien she is to this world. She feels like a real person dropped into the Highlander universe, wondering why Duncan takes it upon himself to stop any evil Immortal he finds.
Last regular appearance of Anne, although she'll be credited for the rest of the season: She'll be back next year in Reunion. Second and final appearance of Georges Dalot, previously seen in Season 1's For Tomorrow We Die. Clips from The Sea Witch and Bless This Child are shown when Duncan contemplates his infertility. We get another example of Duncan facing an evil Immortal during his century off from the Game: It must be four or five now!

- GoofsDuncan says that 200 years prior, Edmund Burke said that "the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." Although these are certainly wise words, and they are often attributed to Burke, there is no evidence that he actually said this.
- Quotes
Duncan MacLeod: All my life, I've had to come to terms with the fact that I'm not supposed to have children. I've said it and I've believed it. Now this happens and... I feel different. Like maybe there is a chance. Maybe my only chance.
Dr. Anne Lindsey: Then what's the problem?
Duncan MacLeod: That the way my life is, someone may come for me and win.
Dr. Anne Lindsey: Duncan, I might get hit by a bus tomorrow or, or, or get some kind of strange type of cancer, but I can't live my life that way. Nobody knows what's gonna happen, Duncan. Nobody. Do you want a child?
Duncan MacLeod: Yes.
