Goofs
When responding to a nighttime fire, the footage of station 51's squad and fire engine driving to the fire shows the original 1965 open top fire engine used as Engine 51. The engine used for the rest of this episode is the 1973 closed cab version.

Picnic

It's time for the fireman's picnic and baseball game, Gage makes a bet with the other squad that whoever loses the game, they pay for the whole picnic.

A very good episode, one of the best of Season 4. Gage finds out their pitcher broke his arm, they have to use Chet as a replacement, even though he never played baseball. A man in a car accident is passed out at the wheel, when he wakes he punches Gage in the nose. The man is played by Cliff Osmond, who made memorable appearances this same year on "All In The Family" and "The Bob Newhart Show". It later turns out he had lead poisoning from moonshine. Dennis Patrick plays a car dealer passed out with a tiger in his car, the tiger also bit him. The final resuce is the moonshiner trapped his house on fire. The last scene tells us the outcome of the baseball game.
