Anecdotes
In the scene in which Helen Brittas is talking to the doctor about Gordon being trained for work with the Samaritans, she mentions that four people killed themselves, one of which was a wrong number. This is almost the same story that Chris Barrie's character in Red Dwarf plays a part in where it is mentioned he worked with the Samaritans and five people had committed suicide, one of which being a wrong number who rang looking for the cricket scores.

Gaffes
In the scene where Brittas is checking everyone's hands for the die. The light isn't actually switched on until Brittas puts his hands under the lamp.

It wasn't long before he drove someone round the twist.

This feels very much like the format for future episodes, Colin very much the fall guy, Mrs Brittas totally neurotic because of her others half's remarkable behaviour, and Brittas himself causing chaos in his fortress.

Poor Mrs Brittas, pushed to the edge by her zany husband, the scenes with the Doctor are very funny.

It's been a great opening series, and this one, perhaps not the best is still very funny.
