The Saga of Squaw Charlie

Old Indian Squaw Charlie (Anthony Caruso) is an Indian with only two friends: Ben and a young girl named Angela. He's ridiculed by the town folk, specifically Bud Claggett (Don Barry) and his pards- even Angela's mother hates Charlie and asks Claggett why is Charlie in the area. "If I was a man, I would have got rid of him," she says. From there, Claggett is determined to do just that, whatever length it takes.

Angela disappears and the blame goes on Charlie; the whole town wants his blood, even though all the evidence against him is purely circumstantial.

Excellent entry with an impressive performance by Anthony Caruso as Charlie, an old Indian known as Red Eagle and who was rejected by his people - the Cartwright's prove their worth as they try and help him when he's accused of killing a young girl he befriended. The climax is nail biting. Don Barry does well as a nasty bigot.
