Client: Meade

Andy Meade (Clu Gulager) is a young man who has rode into town. He has had previous beef with the Tibbett brothers and immediately gets involved in a gunfight with Ed Tibbett.

Meade guns down Tibbett and Clay Culhane rushes to stand side by side with Meade when the other two Tibbett brothers descend.

Annoyed with Culhane getting in the way. They go to Marshall Scott and complain that Meade killed their brother in cold blood.

Meanwhile Clay Culhane tries to get Meade to puts his faith in the law and that he would defend Meade.

There was an eyewitness to the gunfight and the Tibbett brothers place pressure on him. The witness tells the Marshall that Meade shot Ed rather than draw in self defence.

It is a simple story of Culhane getting the eyewitness to do the right thing. He just wants to keep his family safe.

The story is rather downbeat. A subtext that maybe the legal system is more complex and cannot help everyone.
