Part of a TV series called "Haute Tension" ,this movie is a murder mystery (like the other ones,I guess ,cause it's the only one I've ever seen ) with a political background .The cast includes Jacques Perrin ,excellent as ever ,Edith Scob,always at ease in mysterious parts ("Les Yeux Sans Visage" )and unrecognizable Edward Meeks .The political side is rather vague and deals with the IRA and their ex-members;there's a hint about a child killed by their bombs ,an event which really occurred .But the screenplay is not up to scratch,the writers are not Boileau-Narcejac or Patricia Highsmith and in spite of the talent of the principals this MTV movie goes nowhere.Why anyway did two Bretons (we're told they were born in Bretagne) get involved in that Irish business ?
