They gave the cartel messenger a freaking .22 pistol. Yeah, that's intimidating...for a pigeon or a practice target. I seriously laughed out loud when he drew his pea-shooter. It's about as much a joke as the corny "gun cocking" sound affect whenever a character draws a firearm in any tv show or movie (because Hollywood, like most liberals, think guns are magic and work on their own accord).
I only hope this was a "creative decision" outside of Taylor Sheridan's control, because if it's not, from this small detail, he's obviously a fake and not a true Texan.
Aside from this finicky little complaint, I am absolutely in love with this show. And fake Texan or not, Sheridan can really write. I mean, Wind River is one of my all time favorite movies, and anything this man writes is gold. Sure, he may be a misogynistic, egocentric, entitled P. O. S., but when you write this good, aren't you entitled to be so, at some level?
It's a fun show, never boring, sure this episode has a lot lacking, and one typical Hollywood oversight (it's like they all think guns are self sentient and they all look and act the same, it's a bigger joke than joe biden's presidency) kinda hurts its potential, but it's still a great episode for a tremendous show. I can only hope Sheridan can keep it going and not piss off the actors like he did with Yellowstone.
