Released by Digital Playground in both web-series and DVD form, "Parallel Lust" is an invigorating version of fantasy vignettes out of porn's Twilight Zone.
A very minor scene has Joanna Angel visited by Ricky Johnson, which unfolds unconvincingly in the manner of an innocent woman convinced by a man that she's really a hooker and performing up to that task. It comes off as mere gonzo material, not fantastic in any sense of that word.
But the 2-parter that follows is special indeed. Just as wooden actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was perfect casting as "The Terminator", Nicolette Shea is even better in the role of Scarlet 2.0, a lifesize, life-like sex doll.
Shea's extremely fake features (way oversize lips, breasts and butt) make her ideal as the doll, who turns out to be more of a devil doll than just an erotic masturbation receptacle.
She comes to life and scares wife Charlott Stokely, who at first was dismayed when hubby brought home such an inappropriate item. (He was probably suckered in by watching one of those late-night tv Adam & Eve sex products ads.)
The doll comes to life and seduces first Charlotte and then husband Quinton James, making for a couple of hot sex scenes as well as high-grade moments of horror.
