Rana Denizer began her studies in Sociology at Istanbul University during which she also embarked other professional career. In 1985, she started working in the advertising department of Karacan Publishing. Following her role as Advertising Manager at Super Gazete, Gunaydin and Sabah Magazine Group. She founded Gosteri Sanatlari Iletisim Danismanligi in 1992 providing advertising and communication consultancy to global brands. In 2003, she adopted the pseudonym Ranini on Eksi Sozluk, writing reviews and critiques on TV series. In 2014, she launched Ranini TV, a digital content platform featuring news and viewer insights on both local and international series. Ranini TV also helped bring many young writers into the industry.
Her journey in screenwriting began in 2008 when she joined Mahinur Ergun's team. Under the pseudonym Halide Meric she contributed as a writer and storyteller on major television projects such as Son Bahar, Kis Masali, Al Yazmalim, Hayat Sarkisi and Hayat Sirlari. Her own life story inspired Kulup ( 2021-2023) a series she wrote that reached audiences in 190 countries. Rana Denizer continues to work on new screenplays.
