A native of San Antonio, C.C. grew up between Texas and New Mexico and graduated with an A.B. in English as well as a Certificate in Theater from Princeton University. She holds an MA in Shakespeare in Performance with a new media emphasis from Bath Spa University, where she is a current PhD researcher; her postgraduate work at the intersection of cinema and theatre focuses on live theatrical broadcast and narrative virtual reality. C.C. is the facilitating director of Invulnerable Nothings, a Brooklyn-based performance collective; her live performance work has been featured in performances/ residencies at The McKittrick Hotel, The Brooklyn Art Library, Shakespeare's Globe, The New York Public Library, AvignonLeOff, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Sekrit Theater, and The Coronet Theater, among others. As a filmmaker, she is known for Nudes The Anthology (2018-present), an ongoing adaptive film series which she co-created with director Clemy Clarke. C.C. is the lead producer for Valmora Productions, which focuses on emerging female talent in film and digital media. The company has two feature films, a number of shorts, and a virtual reality educational experience slated for 2022 festival release.
