Giorgio John Squarcia is an Italian-American screenwriter, film
producer, and director. He begun his career as an Investigative
Journalist. Squarcia is known for being one of the first director to
have introduced the scripted reality genre in Italy. He has written and
produced numerous films and television projects, including All in a
Day, Passind the Buck, and In cold Blood. Squarcia was born in
Rochester, Minnesota but grew up in Italy where he graduated in
Philosophy at the Catholic University in Milan. He than moved back to
the United States to study filmmaking. In the same time he started
collaborating with the Investigative Department of the Newsmagazines
Inside Edition and American Journal. He left when he was Director of
the Research Department and, in 2001, founded his own production
company based in Milan and New York (Inside Man Films).
