Marie Kottenstette

Born in Massachusetts, but raised in the Midwest and the South, Marie Kottenstette got her start in acting at a very early age making home-movies with her friends in her parents basement in South Bend, Indiana. In high school, Marie discovered she loved acting so much she wanted to do it year round, so she founded a Drama Society at her school just so she could perform plays over the summers with her friends while raising money for important causes.
After attending the High School Drama Institute at the Catholic University of America the summer before her senior year of high school, Marie decided that she wanted to study Drama in college at Catholic University. In 2020, Marie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Catholic University with her BA in English Literature and, of course, Drama. While in college, Marie had the privilege of performing in many productions in the Catholic University Drama Department, including Our Town, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Laramie Project, Caucasian Chalk Circle, and Measure for Measure. Marie won a "Gilbie" in 2019 for her performance of the Mercedes Herrero Track in The Laramie Project while at Catholic and was also nominated for a Broadway World Washington, DC Award for Best Actor or Actress in an Educational Production.
After graduating at the beginning of the pandemic, Marie taught High School English and Drama for two years back in Central Massachusetts. During this time, she produced and directed numerous productions including The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Pride and Prejudice.
Marie is currently (2023) working as a podcast producer and acting as much as she possibly can all while leaving some room to spend some quality time with her dog, Fern, the cutest dog in the world.
