Ahead of her highly-anticipated visit to “The White Lotus,” Parker Posey has signed on to star in Martin McDonagh’s next film, “Wild Horse Nine.”

Posey joins previously announced star Sam Rockwell, who won the Oscar for best supporting actor for his most recent collaboration with McDonagh, 2017’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” John Malkovich and Mark Ruffalo are also among the cast.

McDonaghi reuniting with Searchlight Pictures, Blueprint Pictures and Film4, following their collaboration on 2022’s “The Banshees of Inisherin.” The dark comedy earned nine Oscar nominations including best picture, as well as directing and screenplay nods for McDonagh.

Apple Cider Vinegar becomes the latest story to join Netflix’s long line of shows centered around a scammer. While the series features some good performances, Apple Cider Vinegar is a show that seems to resent its audience. In these moments, the writing takes us out of the show’s attempts to be subversive.

2025 is going to be great for Netflix. Sure, we have not seen all the streamer is going to gift us, but let's presume that things will be terrific. Netflix has never (mostly) let us down.

Some people complain there are too many foreign titles on the streamer. This seems...well, odd. Netflix is a global company and foreign films and shows can be just as good as the English-language ones.

Still, most of the films below should make all folks happy. They should be excellent adds to Netflix's already impressive catalog. Just don't hate us if we get one of them wrong.

The biggest new announcements in the slate include the formal announcement of Jay Kelly, three-time Academy Award nominee Noah Baumbach‘s latest film, a “heartbreaking comedy” featuring George Clooney and Adam Sandler in the large ensemble cast; Eddie, a biographical documentary about one of Hollywood’s most elusive stars, Eddie Murphy; and a Charles Manson documentary from Academy Award winner Errol Morris.

If you missed the first season of Netflix's Beef, there is still time to catch up. Plus, you should. The show that takes a road rage incident and turns that into a series-long argument and makes it entertaining is ridiculously entertaining. It is nearly the perfect show to watch if you feel a bit of rage and want catharsis.

The series was lauded by critics as well. The show won eight Emmys, including wins for stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. Certainly not for the faint of heart, but for those in relationships that are brutal, you will find something you root for. And you might feel guilty doing so, but glad you watched the series.

There is some very good news for those who want more. Carey Mulligan was not part of the cast of their first season, but she will be for the second. So will Oscar Isaac.

Marvel Studios' Midnight Sons movie may have suffered a setback with the departure of a reliable hand to pen the script for the planned supernatural team-up.

We got word that Michael Green had been enlisted to write Midnight Sons last summer, but according to scooper Mttsh, his "take didn't click" and he has now parted ways with the project. Marvel is said to be searching for a replacement.

Green wrote the original script for the long-awaited Blade reboot, and has also worked on the likes of Netflix's Blue Eye Samurai, Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot trilogy, Blade Runner 2049 and Logan.

Carey Mulligan revealed at the Variety Studio presented by Audible at Sundance that she “just started” filming the second season of Netflix’s series “Beef.” The first season won Emmys for leading stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, so anticipation is high for the new episodes. The show’s second season will feature a new storyline and an entirely new cast, headlined by Mulligan, Oscar Isaac (with whom she starred in the Coen Bros.’ “Inside LLewyn Davis”), Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny.

“We just started. Almost everything [is different],” Mulligan told Variety’s Tatiana Siegel when asked about the new season. “But it’s still [creator Lee Sung Jin] being brilliant. It’s a completely new story and if I say anything else then a laser beam will appear on my head. But it’s very exciting.”

Another project Mulligan can’t talk about is Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights,” starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.

Exclusive: Netflix has added Seoyeon Jang (Butterfly), William Fichtner, Mikaela Hoover and musician Bm — in his acting debut — to the Season 2 cast of Beef, its award-winning anthology series from Lee Sung Jin and A24. American-born, Korea-based Bm is known as leader of the K-Pop co-ed group Kard and his solo rap career.

The quartet rounds out the cast, joining previously announced stars Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, Youn Yuh-jung and Song Kang-Ho.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse finally gets a new update as one of the stars shares what is currently going on with the Marvel film in 2025. In a new interview with Decider, Spider-Verse actor Jharrel Jerome was asked if the voicing session is underway for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, with the movie still not having a release date. The casting of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom has been controversial, to say the least, as a lot of fans believe that bringing in the Iron Man alum might be a cheap trick by Marvel to win back fans who have been largely alienated by Marvel’s disastrous 2023 run.

However, there is one other issue that has irked fans about Doctor Doom’s casting in the MCU, which focuses on the fact that Doom is a Romani character. Doctor Doom in the MCU comes as a part of a long line of similar casting goof-ups, where characters have been race-swapped for no discernable reason. This is further compounded by the fact that some fans are miffed that this care was taken to cast an Israeli actress in an Israeli role, but not anywhere else.
