Stephen Malit is head of production at IN.2 Film, Johnny Depp's European production house. He is British film, theatre and event producer born in London. Following studies in business specializing in computer development and training at Edit Video during the transition from film to video editing, he moved to production filming fashion shows, pop videos, art and concert films.
He joined the Comic Strip as post production supervisor, followed by freelance production management roles for Big Talk Productions, Robert Fox Ltd and The Recorded Picture Company. Building relationships with Julien Temple, Mike Figgis and Johnny Depp he has produced over 20 films and is known for Modi - Three Days on the Wing of Madness (2024), Under Milk Wood (2015) and London Modern Babylon (2012).
Pursuing a passion for music throughout his career he has produced a number of award winning music documentaries including Crock of Gold and Oil City Confidential, managed the filming at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan since 1998 and produced three areas of the Glastonbury Festival including Cineramageddon, a unique 5,000 capacity film and art installation outdoor cinema.
A pioneer of event cinema by combining live events with his documentaries, he has theatrically released a number of films in the UK including Jeanne du Barry (2024), Oil City Confidential (2009) and Hector (2015).
