Joshua Brand was born in Queens, New York, USA. He is an American television writer, director, and producer known for creating St. Elsewhere, A Year in the Life, Northern Exposure, and I'll Fly Away with his writing-and-producing partner John Falsey. He is currently a writer and consulting producer for FX's The Americans.
