Three Blind Mice: Part II

After the acquittal of Fred Forest with the help of his slimy lawyer Serokin. Captain Matt Holbrook is in no mood to let go.

He has Forest on surveillance for months. This is driving him crazy as he cannot start up his numbers racket.

His cohorts are getting bored by being legitimate. Forest gets close to have it out with Sergeant Steve Nelson who is on a stakeout that night outside his house.

Once again Serokin gets an order to get Holbrook to cease the surveillance. Holbrook sees the front door shut but the back door is wide open.

The detective put pressure on some of the numbers racket operatives. More importantly Lucy Forest is seen as a weak link. Holbrook charms her.

At the end Forest and some of his cohorts are so dim, you wonder how did they manage to get such a big criminal empire going. A nice vehicle for Vera Miles.
