Faces of Death III

The last public execution by Guillotine in France featured in this film was witnessed by a 17-year-old Christopher Lee on an academic field-trip. No one knew until Lee mentioned it in an interview, and someone approached him with the lone-footage and he confirmed it.

(at around 19 mins) The sign says "No Unauthurized Personnel." It should read "No Unauthorized Personnel."

The UK DVD is based on the US print which includes an appearance by Michael Carr as "Dr. Francis B. Gross". European prints are missing all footage of the Doctor and feature additional scenes not in the UK/US print including an interview with plane crash survivors, a psychologist discussing the work of German anti-terrorist forces, footage of a supposed exorcism involving a German clergyman, a sequence where a group of (naked) people eat a placenta at a dinner table, and a bizarre scene where Ohio residents discuss Bigfoot. In addition the UK DVD was cut by 1 min 18 secs by the BBFC to remove footage during a trial scene where a rapist (played by director John Alan Schwartz) films himself as he prepares to attack a woman.
