According to Malcolm Ray, he was originally slated to play the group counselor and Halle Berry, in addition to the police chief, and Orlando Belisle was to play Eartha Kitt. Scheduling conflicts resulted in Ray playing Kitt, James Jarosz playing the counselor, and Belisle playing Berry.

And you can definitely see why: It is a special kind of "bad". The kind of bad that the main characters from "The Producers" would put together as an intentional flop to cash in on some sort of money scheme. Yeah... that bad!
