Mrs. Muir's (Hope Lange) friend Aggie Berns (familiar character actress Alice Ghostley, "Bewitched") invites herself to Gull Cottage after splitting up with her boyfriend Stephen. She's now cynical toward men. Mrs. Muir and Martha (Reta Shaw) decides Claymore (Charles Nelson Reilly) would be a good match for Aggie. To rid himself of Claymore, Captain Gregg (Edward Mulhare) happily consents to conspire in matchmaking. The courtship is less than smooth.
