"Bit by a Dead Bee" is an episode of "Breaking Bad" where Walt and Jesse need to explain their whereabouts the last days. Walt uses a bold plan, but he is smart and able to get rid of the psychologist in charge of the diagnosis. Jesse's plan is simpler and is helped by Wendy and Tuco's uncle that hates the police officers. Jesse loses almost sixty-five thousand dollars to stay free. Skyler presses Walt again, now questioning his second cell phone. My vote is eight.
Title (Brazil): "Bit by a Dead Bee"
This is a cleverly written episode that treats the situation plausibly and deals with how certain aspects have to be explained to other characters. The writers have given attention to important details that are necessary to avoid contrivances. Additionally, I like how they use a previous scene between Hank and Wendy as a bit of Karma striking back.
Importantly, it lays the foundations perfectly for the next episode, which is very emotionally charged.
All actors are on great form as always and the visuals are strong.
For me it's an 8.5/10 but I round upwards.
In this episode, "Bit by a Dead Bee," after Walt and Jesse were able to escape Tuco, Walt has come up with a plan to explain their disappearance. Walt was decides to strip naked in a supermarket and claims he has dementia. Jesse returns to his house to get rid of all their equipment. Eventually, Jesse gets taken in and the cops don't believe his alibi of his connection with Tuco.
Overall, I've seen better episodes in this series but still, this episode is almost perfect. A great and a very much realistic episode especially when it comes to the suspicions of Skylar. This episode ends in a very good cliffhanger which foreshadows of what is to come. I rate this episode 9/10.
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesWhen Walter is found naked at the supermarket, he is standing next to a stand of pink teddy bears, similar to the teddy bear from the first scene of Seven Thirty-Seven (2009).
- PifiasWhen an IV is inserted, the needle is removed and only a plastic catheter remains. Walt would not have a needle left in his hand and would therefore be unable to reestablish IV access without new equipment. Also, the angle he inserted the needle would have pierced completely through the vein and the IV fluids would not flow through the tubing.

Walter White: My wife is seven months pregnant with a baby we didn't intend. My fifteen-year old son has cerebral palsy. I am an extremely overqualified high school chemistry teacher. When I can work, I make $43,700 per year. I have watched all of my colleagues and friends surpass me in every way imaginable. And within eighteen months, I will be dead. And you ask why I ran?
