Marry Me, Marry Me: Part 2

Part 1 was perfect and they ought to have left it at just that: if Kate doesn't like the status quo, she can go on her little cruise and take a hike, she can take the job and/or she can keep seeing Edward on the same basis they always had. But nope: instead of the reality check Kate needed, they decide to marry them. Very well, let's review the rest, here!

Watch for Fran Drescher engaging in vile scene stealing since she makes her entrance. She's here playing the 2nd banana, Kate's friend but she acts and overacts so exaggeratedly that she takes the attention away from the plot, and Kate herself.

Watch when Kate's mother comes to talk to her daughter. The camera is still on Fran Drescher who does everything to steal the scene, from grinning ear to ear like a shmuck to grandiosely pat her hair, (already coiffed into a bun, no hair out of place, mind you!) to distract from the scene, so much so that the camera cut her off the frame to focus on "Kate & mom".

The production, however, didn't go all out for their wedding scene: whereas in Part 1, he had Vidal Sassoon at his mansion, a manicurist and hair stylist, here, they hold a modest ceremony at home, with a boring wedding dress and Drescher (bad casting!) still stealing scenes during the wedding.

They had to go and spoil a good thing: I'm talking about the message they delivered to American women in part 1. 4/10 for the disappointment, although the story is more like a 1/10 here.
