Rogues and Riches/Stark Terror

As a fan of the darker segments of this show, "Stark Terror" was about as tame as it gets, even though it was still a decent story with some familiar faces like Melissa Sue Anderson, Michael Constantine, and Elinor Donahue. Anderson plays a girl who suddenly becomes mute, then watches her mom fall down a flight of stairs and then die; the scene didn't really work for me because she loses her voice moments BEFORE her mom falls. The way she died and the culprit who caused it was a bit of a letdown, although when Mr. Roarke confronts him in the cellar of the lighthouse, it made for a cool moment. The other story titled "Rogues to Riches" was a bit better than I thought it would be, and starred Robert Goulet, John Schuck, and a fun appearance by Alan Hale, Jr., who wields a big sword. Without giving away much detail about the story(too lazy), I thought the best moments revolved around the Inn, which was done really well. Goulet was the typical ham, but I felt he and Schuck had decent chemistry together. To wrap this review up, both stories were pretty good, although I was slightly disappointed with the darker segment, because it wasn't dark enough for my personal liking.
