Warner Bros. was awarded the licensing and merchandising rights last fall, as part of the a deal with Rowling to develop two films based on the first two books of the series ("Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" & "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets").
AP reports that the first Harry Potter merchandise should be available next fall, and initially will be sold exclusively in Warner Bros. Studio Stores. The merchandise will be available at other retailers by the holiday season.
More indications that Harry Potter is on the fast track? We hope the Muggles get it together soon! :)
