The third film in the Sega video game-inspired franchise is now available to stream at home. Sonic 3 is available to buy for $24.99 or rent for $19.99 for digital streaming on Apple TV, Prime Video and other premium video-on-demand platforms. It’s expected to stream on demand on Paramount+.

Sonic 3 sees its spikey blue hero (voiced by Ben Schwartz) celebrating his birthday with his furry superhero pals Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) and Knuckles (Idris Elba) and his adoptive human parents, Tom (James Marsden) and Maddie (Tika Sumpter). Their party is cut short when they’re called by the government agency G.U.N. to stop Shadow (Keanu Reeves), a powerful space hedgehog on a mission for revenge. Jim Carrey reprises his role as Dr. Ivo Robotnik and does double duty as the mad scientist’s even madder 110-year-old grandfather, Gerald; Lee Majdoub is also back as Dr. Robotnik’s loyal henchman, Agent Stone.

Sonic 3 is now available to watch online when you rent or buy digitally for $19.99 to $24.99 at Apple TV, Prime Video and other streaming video-on-demand platforms.

Released on Dec. 20, Sonic 3 will be available to watch on demand on Paramount+ about three months after its theatrical premiere. The movie is expected to be land on the streamer mid-March. In the meantime, you can stream the first and second Sonic the Hedgehog films and the animated series Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic X, Sonic Underground and Sonic Boom on Paramount+.
