Grove Ventures‘ Managing Partner Dov Moran was interviewed by Or Azulay for the ‘Specks of Light” podcast. Dov shared his insights on startup funding, investments, entrepreneurship, what is takes to be one of the best VCs, and life itself.
‘A startup is the most uncertain thing. There is a chance that there won’t be money, that in a year’s time the company will fall apart, that the product will mature, and that the team decides to make a pivot’ shared Dov. ‘You are looking for a leader, and that’s not trivial in the least. There is always adversity, so entrepreneurs need to have the ability to navigate through problems, hardships, uncertainty, disappointments, etc. That’s why when we evaluate the team, we also need to see who has what it takes to learn on-the-go, to rise when they fall, and to keep standing on their own two when they get up from the ground.’
