Bridget's Quiet Corner hmm.. Honey seems interesting. As Gen X, I remember that decade fairly well...even if I didnt like it much lol...(my teens and mostly 20s years. Didnt like either decade age wise lol) but a lot of good slow jams (yep, age showing) & my first son was born in 1997. <3

Law There are no middle grade or graphic novels on this list. What about YA, though? The Eyes Are the Best Part seems the most intriguing. I'd skip the rest.

Children of Anguish and Anarchy and Honey are YA. That's 25% of the books...

Susan Bear seems interesting and I definitely want to read All the Colours of the Dark.

CLAIREYY TBH they all look boring

message 7: by CLAIREYY (new)

CLAIREYY should add more romantasy :)

message 8: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany A Ruse of Shadows by Sherry Thomas. This is the best series. I don’t know why Goodreads doesn’t give it more representation. Many worthy books tend to get overlooked on this platform recently. It’s very frustrating.

Honey is an interesting book. Some might see it as YA while others might see it as a piece of adult contemporary literary fiction. I'll skip that one. It has low ratings and literary fiction keeps disappointing me.

Peggy I wonder if the folks commenting about their disappointment in the list have read what the list is about and where it came from: other readers selections - not Goodreads editors.

I have found that it doesn't matter how many times you refer people to the criteria listed by Goodreads for these selections, they would rather just b*tch about how the books they would have chosen aren't there. ;)
