How to Upload Media in WordPress?

Follow the given steps to upload media in WordPress quickly -

Step 1: Login your WordPress Website

Step 2: Place the cursor where you want to insert media file.

Step 3: Click on Media, placed in Left Navigation

Step 4: Click on Add New button to upload file. You can also upload multiple media files at once.

Step 5: You can also upload files using Drag and drop or using URL (in case media was already uploaded and you want to reuse.

Note: It's important to optimize your media files before uploading them to WordPress to ensure they don't slow down your site. This can include compressing images, converting videos to a suitable format, and resizing files to the appropriate dimensions.

Adding Media files in WordPress

WordPress allows users to add media files to their WordPress websites. The media files can be of any kind like videos, audio, and images. Let’s see the steps to Add Media files in WordPress Easily and Quickly :

Step 1: To access your WordPress Dashboard, enter your username and password on the WordPress login page. Simply add /wp-login.php to the end of your website URL to reach the login panel.

After login into WordPress, you will be able to see a dashboard like this:

Step 2: We have to search and open the Media. For that:  

From the menu option on the left side, there are many options. Go to Media.

After clicking on Media, you will see a similar Page like this:

Step 3: Now you just need to go to the 'Add New ' button to add the media. There are two ways to add media by uploading the object and providing the URL.

URL: If you want to add media using URL, click on the dropdown near the 'Add New ' button.

And then Click on 'Add Via URL' and provide the URL and then click on Upload Button

Direct Upload: Here I am adding media using uploading the object. Click on the 'Add New ' button.

After Clicking, you will see a similar pop window like this:

Select the file and object to be uploaded and click on the open button. After clicking, you will be able to see the list of media files added as shown in the following screenshot.
