Project Idea | Electric Vehicle Charging Lane

The first practical electric cars were produced in the 1880s. In 1884, over 20 years before the Ford Model T, Thomas Parker built a practical production electric car in Wolverhampton using his own specially designed high-capacity rechargeable batteries, although the only documentation is a photograph from 1895.
The Flocken Electrowagen of 1888 was designed by German inventor Andreas Flocken and is regarded as the first real electric car.
Electric vehicles have come out, but the real problem is happening now. The problem is in the way of charging. If we keep our electric vehicle stationary and charge it in one place, then a lot of time is spent on it.
The whole idea of our project revolves around the same situation that the EV industry is also facing. We have come up with an idea to charge the electric vehicle. We do not have to stabilize the vehicle in one place for charging. Instead, the vehicle has to change its lane in order to get charged...
Problems with Electric Scooters and Cars in India :
- Recharging Stations are not available.
- Initial investment is a big issue.
- Can't expect more than 5 people weight at once.
- Silent automobile without any Engine Sound.
- Battery replacement after a particular time.
- Large power cut-off in India.
Tools and Technologies Used in the Project: The tools used in the project are -
Matlab for Electrical Designing, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Software for Mechanical Designs, Trello or Teamwork for Constructional Designing.
The technologies used in the project are -
- Embedded System: Any vehicle that needs a special lane facility, can simply plant an embedded system in its electric vehicle at the time of registration itself. That will give a notification to the driver (say) “Your battery is about to discharge. Change your lane immediately.”
- Advanced Communication: Yes, advanced communication is also being used because it has a wireless network for communication.
- Monitoring: Yes, the embedded system monitors the battery percentage and accordingly alerts the driver when the battery is running out.
Required Skillset to Build the Project: In order to have some skills, one must have knowledge of electric devices, knowledge of connecting wires, basic knowledge of mechanical designing, constructional designing, and how a Pantograph will charge your vehicle by taking electricity from electric wire to your vehicle while in running mode (say) bypass charging.
A Step-by-Step Process to Implement the Project:
Step 1: Fixing the overhead cables in a special lane. The analogy with the tracks are given below:
Step 2: Making power stations.
Step 3: Electric Vehicle registration.
Step 4: Adding an embedded system in the vehicle.
Step 5: Finally, a vehicle will change its lane when it is about to discharge.
Project Application in Real-Life:
Ola cabs CEO, Mr. Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted at 2:29 PM · Jul 27, 2021. He believes that India should have confidence in its own ability to build EVs indigenously.
He tweeted : ‘’Strongly disagree with both. Let’s have confidence in our ability to build indigenously and also attract global OEMs to build in India, not just import. We won’t be the first country to do so! "
