Infosys Interview Experience for System Engineer

Good to share, it was the first time I was going to face any IT interview. I will try to make you all live through my experience.

Post- System Engineer

Infosys usually visits our campus in September. As I fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria I was also allowed to sit. Getting placed in Infosys from our college is a dream that many cherish in their hearts from 1st year only.

So, we were getting prepared and waiting for the final dates of Infosys visiting our campus. Finally, it was the time and the day came.

The process started in the auspicious Townhall of our college, beautifully designed, best of the auditoriums present in Uttar Pradesh. The atmosphere did nothing but increased our nervousness ;-)

We were taken to the labs where the online test was to be conducted. The test comprised sections with Aptitude, Reasoning, and English which seemed to be very basic as we went through rigorous college training. Though I had a feeling of not getting shortlisted, my teachers and HOD motivated and said to hope for the best.

We got the result at night and I was shortlisted for the interview which was scheduled for the following day. I got ready with my formals and came to college at 8 am. The line was long for the interview and I was called for the interview in the afternoon.

I was waiting in the waiting area when the interviewer came out of the cabin and hold the door open till I entered inside. It was like giving so much respect.

I- Have a seat!

Me- Thank you, sir! Good afternoon!

I- Tell me about yourself.

Me- I briefed about myself and my achievements and at last mentioned my final year project so that the interview can go in that direction.

I- So, what is ergonomics? (It was related to my project)

Me- It is the science that deals with the postures of the human body.

I- Okay, can you draw and explain the project you are working on?

Me- Took the A4 sheet and explained it in detail.

I- Some cross-questions.

Me- I answered them without diverting from the point.

I- Nice to meet you, you can leave for now.

Me- Thank you, sir!

The interview lasted for approximately 15 minutes and I got selected finally in the top IT firm.
