01 Feb, 2024
Accenture visited our campus. The company was providing two roles ASE (Associate Software Engineer) and AASE (Advanced Associate Software Developer). Nearly 300 students register for the opportunity.
- Role: ASE/AASE
- Eligibility: CGPA > 6.5 and no active backlogs currently.
There were a total of 3 rounds each round was an elimination round. The whole process took 10 - 15 days. Each round was conducted with a gap of 2 to 3 days. The description of each round is as follows
Round 1 (Aptitude and Reasoning):
This round is known as the Technical and Cognitive Assessment test. This test is conducted on campus on computers. In the test, there were 90 questions, which were needed to be solved in 90 minutes. The topics from where questions were asked were, Networking, MS Office, Sitting arrangement, Basic PnC, Aptitude and Reasoning questions. 2 basic DSA-based questions were also asked. Some students were allowed to submit in their choice of language, and some of the students got language constraints (1 Python language based and 1 question in any programming language). The result is published in under 2 minutes on the same computer on which we give the test. At the same time, mail comes to your mobile that you have cleared the first assessment. It must be noted that each section and sub-section both contain a cutoff. Therefore, for qualifying the assessment one needs to crack both of the cutoffs (Sectional and Subsectional as well). This round was cleared by 165 students.
Round 2 (Virtual AI Round):
This round was taken by the AI to check the verbal ability of the candidate. You need to give this round in a quiet place because background voice can be a bottleneck. Along with this, the mic is so sensitive in this round, that it can capture the breathing voice also. Thus, it is necessary to give this test in a quiet place having no background noise. You will be given a certain amount of time (30-60 seconds) based on the question. The types of questions were:
- Repeat the sentence written on the screen.
- Repeat the sentence spoken by the AI.
- One-word Questions asked by AI.
- Example:
- Rohan takes the book from Shyam. Then the question will be: Who gave the book to Rohan?
- Sun rises from west is it true? Then, answer YES/NO as per the question.
- AI will tell you a story you need to repeat the same story (In the same words of AI or your choice of words having the same meaning as the story).
- Jumbled sentence.
Reading sentences from the screen is easy. But understanding the ascent of AI voice was difficult. Along with this, the story was of nearly 12-15 sentences. So, it is a bit difficult this round. The toughest will be storytelling, the rest of the things are basic and intermediate. Most of the students were able to clear the interview. I don't know if it was elimination or not, But I heard that marks of this round are counted for the final selection of candidates. Therefore, give your best in it.
Round 3 (Virtual Interview):
This round was taken by the Employees of Accenture. They asked basic questions of all students. The questions were the same for all, only 1 - 2 questions can be different. The questions were:
- Give a Brief description of yourself.
- Describe your projects.
- Which additional thing do you want to add to your projects?
- Any prior Internship experience?
- Do you make any connections during your project making?
- What subject is your least favourite among all?
The results were declared after 1 month. They select in total of 59 students. Try to give your best in each round. Because marks are added for each round for each candidate.
