C# is a programming language that is used for general purposes. But the C# programming language is classified as one of the High-Level programming languages. Unlike the C programming language, the C# programming language can be used in other tasks. There might be a significant similarity between the name of the C# programming language & C programming language, but the working principle is different. C# programming language can be used for various multi-purpose tasks. Also, the C# programming language is a Component based programming language.
But there is an issue present with the C# programming language. The C# programming language can’t be installed on any device easily. There are no well-known IDEs present that works on the C# programming language. Like, users can use the Eclipse IDE for developing the Java programming language. Dev C++ IDE is available for C programming language & C++ programming language. C# programming language doesn’t have any recognized programming field. There is a need to manage the platform before installing the C# in MacOS. That will be the prerequisite.
Prerequisite
Before going to install the C# programming language in MacOS, there is a need to manage the platform first. Users might know that there is no reputation platform is present that build for the C# programming language. Every programming language is not installed directly in any operating system. There is a need to have an IDE for working on that programming language. So, users need first to install that IDE where they need to install the C#. Visual Studio is one of the majorly used IDE in MacOS. And fortunately, this operating system can only be able to handle the C# programming language. So, users need to install the Virtual Studio IDE on their devices first. So, there is mainly one thing that needs to be performed beforehand by the users, which is to Download & Install Virtual Studio On MacOS
Installing C# On MacOS
Step 1: At first, users need to open the Virtual Studio on the MacOS. Then users need to click on the Extension button present in the toolbar. The Extension is a feature in the Virtual Studio, where users can install different other things on that platform.
Step 2: Now after opening the Extension window, there is a need to search for C# in the search bar of the Extension window. Users need to wait till similar details arrive on the screen.
Step 3: Now, users will get a lot of options present there that match with the C#. But the very first one will be needed here. It will be the C# that is available for coding with Visual Studio. It will be the Official one from Microsoft cooperation. Users need to click on the Install button to start the installation process.
Step 4: Users need to wait till the installation process is completed. Users will find the Installing symbol while the process is going on, it will take a small amount of time.
Step 5: When the installation is completed, users need to open the Terminal of the macOS. Then users need to execute the following command. This command will help to find out whether the installation process is successful or not. After entering the command, users need to press the Enter button.

Step 6: Now, users will find a list of different operations present in the device that is associated with Visual Studio. Users can notice that in all the cases, the C# programming language is marked. That means the installation of the C# is completed in the MacOS. And the configuration of it is also completed.
Hence, we have successfully installed C# on MacOS.

C# is the programming language that is underrated most of the time. There is no traditional method to install & work on this precious programming language. Users sometimes get confused between the C# programming language & .NET. But users need to know that these are two similar types of thing & holds special value while developing any software. Instead of high use of this programming language, there is no easy & durable IDE present to install C# programming language in any operating system.
