How to Change the Font in Google Forms

Google Forms is a straightforward tool. It started as an add-on for Google Sheets but became a standalone app in 2016. Over time, it has gained new features, though its functionality remains limited compared to Google's main tools like Sheets and Docs. While you can change the font size in Google Forms, the options are quite basic.
Fortunately, there are add-ons that can help you change the font in Google Forms. This article will guide you on how to enhance your Google Forms with better font options.

Change the Font in Google Forms
Google Forms offers limited font options to choose from - Basic, Decorative, Playful, and Formal. But, you won't have any control over the font size or color. If you want to customize the form styles, you can use the add-ons for Google Forms. By using the add-ons you can specify the font, size, color & more.
Changing fonts in Google Forms can be a bit limited, but I’ll guide you through the available options,
Open your Google Form in the editing window. To directly open Google Forms Click here

Step 2: Click on Customize
Click the Customize Theme button (the paint palette icon) in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Change Fonts Accordingly
From there, you can select fonts for the Header, Question, and Body text of your form. You can also upload a header image and change the form’s colors.

Using an Add-on
Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of built-in options. But, there's a handy add-on that can help. It's called Formfacade, and while it won't give you a ton of extra features, it does let you completely redesign your Google Forms look and feel. Think of it like a makeover for your Google Form. However, Formfacade is a paid tool. So, if you're looking for a free way to change fonts, keep reading – we might have some alternative suggestions!
Open Google Forms and click on the add-on icon, and select "Formfacade"

Step 2: Select 'Customize'
The FormFacade popup menu will be displayed. Select "Customize this form"

Step 3: Click on 'Proceed'
Customize the introduction popup screen will be displayed. Click on the Proceed button.

Step 4: Click on Gear Icon
Formfacade customize admin interface will open in a new tab. Click on the gear icon(settings) next to the Form Title.

Form settings popup will be displayed. Select the "Fonts" tab. Enter the name of the font you want to use for the Heading and Form fields. Click on the Save button.(This will only work in premium or subscription)

Conclusion
Google Forms itself doesn't offer built-in font style changes, there are ways to add some extra! For one, you can use the formatting options like bold, italics, and bullet points to make your text stand out. If your heart is set on a font change, the Formfacade add-on can completely redesign your form's look, but it comes with a price tag. Ultimately, there are ways to add some visual interest to your Google Forms, even if you can't directly swap out the font family. So get creative and don't be afraid to experiment!
