CURRENT_TIMESTAMP() function in MySQL

CURRENT_TIMESTAMP() function in MySQL is used to check the current date and time value. In MySQL function, CURRENT_TIMESTAMP is needed when you need to keep a record of the exact time of delivery which is helpful in improving the services and functionalities of any organization. The format of this function is in the form of the current date and time value in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM: SS or YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.uuu format, depending on whether the function is used in a string or numeric context.
Let's consider an example for a better understanding if you have bought or like you have used courier service then you will see they will provide you a unique ID to keep update and trace your product location is in case of courier and In case of buying you will get the update by where exactly your product is and when you will get and the expected date etc. all the information you will get. In both cases, CURRENT_FUNCTION is needed to keep track of the current time of delivery location.
Syntax :
CURRENT_TIMESTAMP

CURRENT_TIMESTAMP()
Parameter :
This method does not accept any parameter.
Returns :
It returns the current date and time value.

Example-3 :
The CURRENT_TIMESTAMP function can be used to set value of columns. To demonstrate create a table named DeliveryDetails.
CREATE TABLE Details_of_Delivery (
Delivery_Id INT AUTO_INCREMENT,
Product_Id INT NOT NULL,
Product_Name VARCHAR(20) NOT NULL,
Delivered_At_time TIMESTAMP NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY(Delivery_Id)
);
Here, we will use the CURRENT_TIMESTAMP function when a delivery will be completed. The value in the Delivered_At_time column will be the value given by the CURRENT_TIMESTAMP Function.

Details_of_Delivery(Product_Id, Product_Name, Delivered_At_time)
VALUES
(990067, 'Acer Nitro', CURRENT_TIMESTAMP );
