CloudBuster – A Cloudflare Resolver

Securing Web applications from DOS, DDOS, XSS, SQL Injection attack is very much essential in this digital era. Many web applications use a wall in front of their server to save the server from these types of attacks, and this wall is known as Cloudflare. To detect whether the target application uses Cloudflare service or not, we have an automated tool named CloudBuster. CloudBuster tool is developed in the Python Language and available on the GitHub platform. This tool supports a target list for automated scans .this tool can take multiple command-line arguments to customize and fine-tune.

Installation of CloudBuster Tool on Kali Linux OS

Step 1: Use the following command to install the tool in your Kali Linux operating system.

git clone https://github.com/SageHack/cloud-buster.git

Step 2: Now use the following command to move into the directory of the tool. You have to move in the directory in order to run the tool.

cd cloud-buster

Step 3: Now use the following command to run the tool and check the help section.

python3 bust --help

Working with CloudBuster Tool on Kali Linux OS

Example 1: Checking Target 1(geeksforgeeks.org)

python3 bust geeksforgeeks.org

In this example, we are checking whether geeksforgeeks.org has enabled cloudflare for its security.

We have got the result of the status of whether the domain is behind Cloudflare or not.

Example 2: Checking Target 2(thecatholicdirectory.com)

python3 bust thecatholicdirectory.com --scan crimeflare

In this example, we are checking for the other domain and we have passed the Cloudflare type which will be checked on the target domain whether it is present or not.

We have got the result of our scan along with the details of Cloudflare used on the target domain.
