Airtable, and the community of users, has enabled me to build powerful tools that meet my personal and small business use cases. It's been tremenddously valuable to tap the community for ready-to-use bases or for starting point bases that allow me to customize and build tools for my needs.
I have built tools that power my personal and business expense ledgers, CRM's and even planned a group trip using a customized base. I am very proud of how I've used it to capture and store key digital items such as articles, images and links that come my way - easily referenced using a slick gallery view with cover images for each record. It can be tough to "know where to start" with Airtable. But if that's where you are with the platform - have a look at the Gallery pages and use what others have shared to get inspiration on how to get started! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Airtable is easy to use for non-technical people, but also robust and powerful enough to be an enterprise solution. For Product Operations management it can't be beat in term of creating workflows, tools for tracking, automations for communication... this isn't the Airtable of 2019... Airtable has become user friendly and enterprise worthy.
I was able to build an OKR tracker, project tracker, feature development and roadmap, feedback loop and release tracker in less than a month and onboard the entire team.... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it had a bit more functionality to support task mangement in project management.... milestones work well, and you can create anything that is in Asana.... but I wish it had a way to create sections in a project without taking up a level in the interface... but this isn't that bad because you can use fields to make sections... I would love to see more than 3 levels to an interface.... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's the most versatile software I use. I've been able to track incredibly complicated art collections for clients and share only the details buyers need to see. Airtable always wows people! It looks complicated, but when I show clients how they can move around Airtable and access important details, they are blown away. For art collectors, this is a powerful tool becaue it's so easy to implement and integrate their colelction into the format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find their system of charging for use very confusing. I want to share my art collection template but worry that I'll be charged when people request permission to use it. I wish this were better explained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Airtable is easy to set up and modify as needed. I did not have to attend any special training or learn complex codes to get business automation up quickly. When there is an issue to figure out, I'm usually able to puzzle my way through fairly straightforward interfaces and implementations. Many of the features provided meet my need.
It also helps, that I was able to bootstrap my business when a gracious former employer let me clone and modify their setup.
Airtable provides a time-saving connection to purchases in my Shopify store, so every sale is eased, and manual interventions are infrequent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A coworker of mine who is not database-savvy had a hard time figuring it out, so it's not completely "dummy-proof". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

User interface is done really well. Workflows are intuitive and powerful. Lots of free extensions and prepackaged code snippets to work with and use Data to prototype custom applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Airtable is not as scalable as it could be. Increasing users, adding administrative functions, as well as advanced features such as Portals or A.I. become prohibitively expensive quickly. The business model Airtable has now makes it so some companies will simply grow out of it and find something else that's more cost effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability for multiple users to collaborate on records and keep a sparate chat on each record.
Lately, we've been impressed with the ChatGPT integration. Linking the prompt to client fields has been a huge game changer for us in creating social captions.
Love the formula fields and how quick they are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Don't like that you can't change the data entry on the record detail. Many mistakes are made because this screen isn't intuitive or friendly to NOT taking your hands off the keyboard. (we LOVE the tab key!!)
At least would like to tighten it up a bit, shorten fields, combine fields on one row (ie: first / last name). It would make it easier to read and navigate when there are alot of fields to work with in a record.
Implementation was a CHORE. Not intuitive at all. Took months to get things working just right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Airtable is a very versatile and user-friendly platform that offers a wide range of features that can be applied in creative ways. I have found it extremely useful for data tracking and database management and find myself using it on a fairly regular basis. If I ever stumble upon a problem that could benefit from having a technical solution, Airtable is usually my go-to solution.
I find the view sharing feature greatly helpful for distributing data and resources internally, especially among others who don't need to access the platform itself but would benefit from the information contained in the bases and workspaces I create. It is easy to implement, especially given the ability to add on integrations and pulgins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In order to track and manipulate data in the right way, I have found there is a need for some coding experience. There are also instances where I've been unable to complete a task or execute a desired outcome, leaving me wondering if the issue is user error or a limitation of the platform. I also wish I better understood, or had more helpful guidance, around dependent records and multi-layered sorting and grouping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Since I discovered Airtable a few years ago, it quickly became one of my all-time favorite platforms. I was trying to figure out how to do something technical on Excel when I stumbled across Airtable...and Airtable easly did it for me. Even for people who get nervous about learning new products find that this is so easy to learn, efficient and effective for pretty much any project you're working on. I've used it for creating an annual marketing plan, event management, database management, forms...the list goes on and on... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly haven't found anything I don't like about Airtable. Typically, when I think it can't do something, I find out it was user error and whatever I was trying to do is very easy if I just use the correct tool within the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initial setup is a breeze. So many functions are easily configurable. New fields (many different types) are easy to add. Complex programming is not required, but more advanced functions are available with their programming language. And the Community is very helpful when I want to do some more advanced functions.
I used to track my photography leads with Excel. No more. Airtable is SO much better. I can enter a project as a sales lead and execute it all the way through invoicing should it turn into a revenue project.
Changes are so easy. No copy and paste, no macros. It is an awesome database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are just a few minor annoyances, but they are miniscule compared to the functionality I receive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Airtable gives you the flexibility to choose how to use it. They offer multiple plan levels at some of the best rates on the market. There are more features and funcitonality compared to similar project management tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There can be a learning curve for automations. If an automation is not already provided, or a field can't be created using a formula, your only other option is to create a script in your automation. There isn't a lot of resources available for this, as you're expected to have prior knowledge of JavaScript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
