I just had the most amazing experience with Dina! She did a full head of highlights, a cut, blow dry, and styled my hair with beautiful curls. This is hands down the best my hair has ever looked and felt. Not only is Dina incredibly talented, but she’s also such a pleasure to spend a few hours with. I walked out feeling so good about myself that I’m tempted to take myself out to dinner! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who truly transforms your hair and your mood.

Always great experience with Aneta. 1st time blow dry with Mary was great. Hair wash with Carlos great. Another stylist offered me coffee which I really wanted. Front desk man - Michael? Always a pleasure.

Honestly Fabio was a lifesaver for my engagement shoot. The hotel water in NYC was not kind to my hair, and you could never tell with how Fabio styled and washed my hair! The blowout and style lasted for days, and his salon is so quick. Located in the UES, I'd make any excuse to go back here!

Another fantastic haircut and blow dry by Fabio. I walked out feeling amazing. I watched the other stylists and they are also professional and their work is perfection. I heartily recommend Fabio's; a neighborhood treasure!

The staff and space were nice. DO NOT book a curly hair appointment if your hair is wavy/curly, get the regular haircut. Mine is between wavy and curly, I booked a curly cut. The layers and shaping are great, but the styling looked AWFUL because my hair didn't curl enough. It was huge and frizzy but didn't bring out a curl pattern the way I had hoped. I asked the stylist about it but she didn't show me how to shape them with the extra time left in the hour. I would try a regular haircut here but not the curly haircut again.

I had a fantastic styling done by Ali (truly incredible), but he made comments that my hair didn’t need to be straightened and tried to persuade me to go against what I consider, as an African American in a hair salon, to be a finished look following a blow out. Again, he did an absolutely beautiful job, but the repeat comments (both during this appointment and my last appointment with him) made me feel like I wasn’t a valued customer and felt like he did not want to do my hair. Still very happy and very grateful, but that didn’t feel great.

Sunday's visit was pleasant one. The room clean, neat and cheerfully decorated. We listened to music and had great conversation. Candyce has magical hands and did a great job retwisting and interlocking my hair.

This was my first experience at Art Room. Staff were all very welcoming and attentive. I received a recommendation for curly hair stylist on an Astoria group on FB. Sandra was amazing! Gave me the big volume I was looking for, and great cut. She went above and beyond showing me helpful tricks to style my curls. Shampoo was also a great experience, one of the best scalp massage I had. Felt so pampered. Will definitely be back.

I was visiting NYC and I needed a blow dry, I was able to book straight away and the girls where super nice and helpful. The hair dresser gave me a really bouncy blow dry that lasted me for 1 week. Highly recommend.
