I had the most amazing experience with Candyce at Jamal Amal Hair Salon! In which from the moment I walked in, she made me feel so welcomed and at ease. She truly understands hair and took the time to listen to what I wanted, offering expert advice along the way. The end result was beyond my expectations. In all honesty my hair has never looked or felt better! Whiles on the other hand her attention to detail, skill, and warm coupled with her personality made the entire appointment such a joy. I just got my 2nd haircut with Chi. My first one was last fall when I was working in NYC for a few months,. I loved the asymmetrical style she gave me so much that I returned this weekend though I'm only visiting the city for a few days. My salon in San Francisco just doesn't match up! Chi has an eye for what will look good, and makes it happen with such ease.

Roberto is always great. I don’t do the same style every time for my short hair and he’s always happy to try something new for me. He also gives good advice when I can’t decide between some styles. The salon is always clean and they have good products for hair wash and style.

Genuinely the best haircut I’ve gotten in NYC. I’ve gone to quite a few different salons dedicated to curly hair, including traveling all the way to Jersey to get a proper cut. And in all instances I’ve left underwhelmed, with a cut that was not what I had asked for. This experience was the exact opposite! She took the time to take into account the different curl patterns I have, my daily styling routine, what I wanted and what was achievable. I left the appointment looking and feeling amazing! For anyone out there with 3c hair who has struggled to find a proper cut, definitely visit Chi!

Hide has once again turned my disastrous hair into a straight and polished look and I'm very pleased. Not only is he a great hair straightener and stylist, he is also gracious and professional. And the salon oveall is very well run.
