Audible future

What is a soundscape you remember? Why it is important to you or why have you paid attention to it? Audible future is a nationwide collection campaign open to all. We are looking for descriptions and observations of soundscapes within the geographical borders of Finland. Submit your entry by 30 April 2025!

European Heritage Label for Kalevala

In the spring of 2024, the Kalevala was awarded the European Heritage Label (EHL) by the European Commission. Since 2013, this label has been granted to sites within the European Union that play a key role in European history, culture, and integration.

The aim of the Finnish Literature Society is to conduct and promote research and awareness of Finnish culture and cultural heritage. We work for enlightenment, cultural self-understanding, and dialogue. We are committed to increasing understanding based on scientific knowledge and deepening knowledge of the diversity of cultural phenomena.
