Farm stays under canvas

Relaxing with amazing setting and scenery. Our kids absolutely loved the freedom to run around camp with the other children they met and share marshmallows by the communal campfire. We have been to Feather Down farms 5 times previously but East Shilvinghampton was definitely our favourite.

Fabulous location with a wonderful walk into Cheddar. James and Kate couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Would recommend this holiday to anyone (even if they have never camped) If I had to say one thing to improve my experience (but I would be being very picky), I would request a wine glass, even if it had to be plastic - wine just doesn't taste right drinking from a tumbler!

We really enjoyed it as it was a different experience to regular cottage stays. The owners were very friendly and he farm tour was great. The tents were fitted out well and everything was clean (other than having to clean the previous occupiers BBQ)._x000D_ _x000D_ We did find it challenging with a one year old though, which is not the fault of Lunsford. Having to non stop watch little hands didn't shoot through the bars to the wood burning stove which you have on a lot to keep the tent warm. Also the tents are quite close together so if where the other kids decide to play is near your tent it's tricky to keep an infant asleep._x000D_ _x000D_ We would definitely come back in a few years time!

From start to finish this was a magical weekend. We had the warmest welcome on arrival from the owners and Jess the dog and from there on in nothing was too much trouble. The farm walk at sunset, feeding the lambs, collecting eggs each morning and soaking up the stunning views in the hot tub kept our two boys happily entertained and all four of us smiling. And we are still smiling now back home full of happy memories which will keep us going until the next visit!

Manor Farm in Hampshire is the perfect glamping destination. We watched the stars from our very warm hot tubs and had great outdoors showers in the morning. We were given a private farm tour which was fascinating and we watched the wheat being harvested over the weekend. The views are amazing and Anna and Will warm and welcoming. Wished we could have stayed longer!

Exactly what we needed after our wedding at Layer Marney. Just the essentials and everything so relaxed. Hot tubs were excellent and did not take long to heat up. Loved it! Bothy shop is handy and Tesco shop can be easily delivered. Sadly there was dog mess on the grass and we do not have dogs but 8 little ones with us. It was not good that the dogs came to beg for food and were in and out of our tents and growling at the children and others.
