Wherever You’re From, You’re Welcome Here
No matter where you're from, the EWU community is committed to an amazing learning experience. Join students from more than 40 countries at our beautiful and safe eastern Washington campus. Applying as an international student can be complicated, but don't worry. We're here to help.
Apply Online
Complete the online admission application and pay the $60 application fee. You will be directed to a payment screen at the end of your application where you can pay with MasterCard, Visa or an electronic check.
Freshman applicants can also apply to EWU through the Common App.
You should apply as early as possible because of the extra time needed for preparing immigration documents and visa processing. International applications close one month before the start of the term. If you apply after the deadline, you’ll need to submit a new application for the correct term and pay a new application fee.
An application for admission will be considered complete only when all of the required documentation is received. Submitting fraudulent (fake) documents will result in automatic denial of application and/or dismissal from Eastern Washington University.
Submit Final Official Transcripts or Foreign Transcripts Evaluation
You must submit an official course-by-course evaluation of all foreign transcripts. Evaluations must be done by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) agency and sent electronically to Eastern Washington University. You can order an evaluation from any NACES member but students who order through IERF will get a $20 discount when completing their order.
Note:
- If you are requesting transfer credits, you must submit individual course descriptions in English of all courses requested for transfer to EWU.
Any transcripts from schools in the U.S. submitted with your application do not need to be evaluated; however, they must be official. Final official transcripts can be submitted electronically or by mail. If official transcripts are being mailed, please have them sent to following address:
