Foreword
This book is filled with helpful advice and methods that can be used to teach and/or learn a new language or multiple new languages. These concepts can be applied to both formal language instruction and self-directed learning.
The resources available for researching, studying, and teaching a new language are now more accessible and diverse than ever. Many people consider enrolling in a formal course at a university. That's excellent, and this advice will be helpful. Online resources include both individual lessons and entire courses. There are numerous types of apps accessible for mobile. These are all excellent sources of information. And the concepts in this book can augment all of those sources. Additionally, one can combine and contrast different sources. I want to underline how much I value dealing with people who speak English as their first language, whether directly or through apps and internet resources.
The goal of this book is to aid in the learning (and practice) of a different tongue. However, some of the methods and techniques can be quickly and directly used to teach and learn any primary intellectual skill. Joy is the overarching theme! delight in studying. happiness in discovery. joy in discovering language's enigmatic grandeur. excitement, and even playfulness, in learning a new language or languages.
