After 40 years private teaching, this mom of 6 is semi retiring into creating programs for moms at home or groups via video to share joy of early learning with musical concepts in mind. Stories can be used to develop imagination. The use of instruments will make adverbs come alive, enhancing future literacy skills. They will "hear" those verbs and adverbs and "feel"those adjectives. Using their bodies to move as per the story-sway, wiggle, jump-quickly, slowly, etc. will stress importance of descriptive words when they learn to write later on. Each new character isn't introduced until after a page turn, creating anticipation or after many "reads", test of memory-"What is over the page?" Sherry has enjoyed volunteering in elementary schools following her children as they progressed in grades.
