Excel 2016 Basics
Microsoft excel is a spreadsheet program that allows storing, organizing, and analyzing information. It is obvious that Microsoft Excel is not only used by certain people to process complicated data, anyone can also learn how to take advantage of its powerful features. Whether you’re doing, be it keeping a budget, organizing a training log, or creating an invoice, Excel makes it easy to work with different types of data.
Getting to know Excel
If you’ve previously used Microsoft Excel 2010 or Microsoft Excel 2013, then Microsoft Excel 2016 should be a piece of cake. For a new Microsoft Excel user or experienced with older versions, you may consider taking some moment to familiarize yourself with the Excel interface.
The Excel interface
On the first lunch or opening of Microsoft Excel 2016, the Microsoft Excel Start Screen will be displayed. You will be allowed to create new workbook or file, also you will be prompted to choose a template, and also access your recently edited files or workbooks as seen in our below illustration and image.
On Microsoft Excel 2016 Start Screen; browse, locate and select or click on Blank workbook to access the Excel 2016 interface as illustrated below.
