The Comprehensive Guide To Swing Trading For Beginners - Stanislav Bernukhov
Preface
My name is Stanislav Bernukhov and I’m a professional trader with over 13 years of experience in trading the financial markets: Forex, Futures, stocks, and options.
This book is a very brief summary of my accumulated trading experience. Why write another book on trading? I believe that sharing your ideas pays off. If I will help just one reader to reduce anxiety and become a better decision maker, I will consider my mission successful.
Many people approach trading with conventional technical analysis, reducing decision making to chart analysis. Is it all you need to make decent trading decisions? The short answer is no, it’s not enough.
. Ability to read chart patterns is mandatory, but every professional trader has to build a systematic trading process. Sounds boring, but that’s what it is.
In this book, I will share with you the example of how the mentioned process could look like. For example, I start my day by watching the economic calendar, then watch COT-reports and open interest for the markets which I follow. Then, I analyze daily charts, watch historical volatility, and, finally, build a plan for the day. Once I’ve done that, I choose one of my trading systems to realize this plan. Thus, it’s not only pattern recognition that matters. It’s a step-by-step process of finding and realizing a good trade. Every element is equally important and nothing can be thrown off.
This book is addressed to a wide range of readers, but if you have initial experience in trading, it would be much easier to understand what I’m talking about. If you don’t have enough experience, go to the end of this book where you will find the list of useful resources and books.
If you want to learn more about my approaches to trading, I welcome you to enroll in my related course on Udemy. It goes much deeper into the details and uncovers many important nuances. I give you the course for FREE, which you can get using special coupon code: https://www.udemy.com/the-comprehensive-guide-to-pro-trading-for-beginners/?couponCode=READERSREWARD The lifetime of the coupon is limited, so click the link above and get your copy of the course.
Enjoy the read!

Pros and cons of being a swing trader
Swing trader is someone who capitalizes on relatively short-term market moves, usually no more than 1-20 days. A distinction between day, swing and position traders is pretty much nominal.
Sometimes, you can capture big profit in a single day, when volatility goes mad. Sometimes, you watch your PnL going back and forth as the market doesn’t move for the entire week. After all, there are small and big swings. So, who is swing trader?
From my personal vocabulary, swing trader is someone who is:
Following the logic above, swing trader is not an active day trader, and that’s the first advantage of this trading approach. If you are a swing trader, you don’t have to monitor markets 24/7. If the window of opportunity is not open, you don’t have to trade. It’s that simple.
Free time and ability to have a life are very important for me. I’m a father with 3 small kids - thus, spending time with my family is one of my priorities.
