About this ebook
This solar case study describes how a 6.4 kW rooftop photovoltaic solar system was determined, designed, purchased and installed. It provides electrical use tables, solution drawings, system specs for all components, and over 30 photos and tables showing each step in the system installation process. Includes complete cost data showing the payment schedule and rebate amounts and performance results for several years. Also shows how little effort is needed to maintain the system. Describes how the homeowner's electrical bill dropped from the top tier to the first tier of monthly electrical charges resulting in significant home expense savings. Readers can use this case study as a how-to guide for achieving their own clean energy solar system solution.

About This Book
This case study complements the book, Going Solar: A Solution Whose Time Has Come. Since the introduction of rooftop photovoltaic (PV) power systems, the solar industry has grown significantly, and technology has changed with it. Efficiencies have improved and the power generated per square foot has increased such that 290 kW and 300 kW panels are common.
Three case studies were created to explain and show the complete process from concept through installation and first power up for three systems—5.0 kW, 6.5 kW, and 7.4 kW. You’re holding the case study for a 6.4 kW solar power system.
It describes how a homeowner researched, purchased and had an operating solar system installed and activated to provide electrical
