About this ebook
The Sun as an unlimited source of energy for the whole solar system provides a good, robust, economical, inexhaustible, natural and universally available option for the humanity on planet Earth.
It is also possible for a user to generate solar energy in excess of his/her own use and feed the surplus energy to electricity grid and earn revenue. Such a system is called ON-GRID system. Such a system draws energy from the grid when the load is in excess of the in-house generation. But this is not permissible in all countries and the system requires a large investment and licensing from electricity administration of the area. Therefore, we limit our present work to an off-grid system, through which a user may generate electricity to feed own loads partially or fully.
The present work is aimed at conceptualization and design of a simplified Sun-tracking Solar Electricity Generation System with discussion of various other possible options.

Preface - Electricity, Present and Prospects
Flow of electrons in a media - called conductor, is termed as electricity which has become essential for leading even a moderate human life. More the mechanization and automation of facilities, conveniences and comforts of life and industrial production processes, more is the need of electricity. Therefore, electricity has become the lifeline of the modern humanity.
For the need of electricity by every human-being, economy demands electricity generation at massive scales for transmission and distribution for actual use in homes, commercial establishments and industrial enterprises. Conventional means of electricity generation have been through use of heat generated from burning of fossil fuels coal (as in thermal power plants) or fission of radioactive materials such as Uranium (as in Nuclear power plants), and use of static pressure of water storages at high altitudes (as in Hydroelectric power plants), All these sources have their own limitations and hazards.
