We are all different! You know you do not have to be a rocket scientist to know this. However, when it comes to dealing with the people who do not have the same personality as yours, how do you react?
Just because you're a joker does not mean you can make a CEO of a multi-national company laugh. Just because you are passionate about people, it does not mean your boss thinks the same way like you do.
Just because you do not want to hurt your best friend, it does not mean you should withhold the unpleasant information from her.
When I was working at a large retail company, I had no idea what was wrong with my boss; why he kept pushing the limits of his employers to work overtime. Some of the staff started mumbling and complaining about not having enough time to spend with their families or loved ones. To these people, relationships with their loved ones meant a lot to them.
On the other hand, my boss had an entirely different idea about the entire incident. There was only one thing in his mind – delivering the promised, best products and excellent service to his biggest client. It is not difficult to understand why he kept pushing the staff to the limit. No matter what it takes, his priority to keep his business running and that if the company works, the jobs are there.
It took me a while to understand this.
